This series evolved from a collection of ladies' kid leather gloves. The gloves suggested preoccupations with revealing and containing the feminine form, and escape through role playing and costume. The making of them called to mind traditions of women’s handwork, particularly in the long hours of sewing, but many of them incorporate doll parts or doll making techniques and recall doll-things or toys.
